Interesting Tech news sites

Postby Mort » Sat Mar 23, 2013 7:45 pm

I'm been so set in my ways and reading the same tech sites I've decided I need some new ones. So gimme your suggestions.
Theregister is a dysfunctional schizo site full of hate and fanboys now. Will still visit for BOFH but even that has lost its edge.

Depends whether you want news or whether you want analysis. I've given up on the spam that most of the tech sites call news and pretty much just read arstechnica.com and techreport.com these days.

Happy to check them all out. News aggregation sites are fine, also don't mind analysis. The register has gone to crap in that regard.

Tom's Hardware and Cnet are my regulars but I'm not a big tech reader. Want to know F1 and Cycling websites I'm your man.

Tom's is going downhill, I just rely on Flipboard to aggregate tech news for me now.

Scott, I thought you'd fixed the redisplay of insert screen after submitting a post...

I use Zite on the iPad - pulls together an interesting variety of articles from across the web.

On the web I mainly check out:
- Rock Paper Shotgun and Topless Robot for gaming/movies/TV etc
- Pitchfork for music
- ars technica and The Tech Report to read about things I only vaguely understand
- Freakonomics and Economic Students Society of Australia for general interest

Um yeah... about that. I did mostly work out the cause, but then had to restore the original BB database after I finished testing and then kind of forgot to get around to fixing it again. Will get onto that.
