ETQW - Official Oz release 28th September

Postby Mort » Sat Sep 08, 2007 11:17 am

Following the reveal of the release dates for North America and Europe below, we are excited to announce that Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars will be on shelves in Australia on September 28, the same day as the European release. All of the release dates announced so far are valid for both the Collector's Edition as well as the normal version of the game.

Well, there's a lot of good info out there about it now... And here's a good interview to get you started

Yes, ET:QW will be using Punkbuster :( good/bad I suppose

but:
Thirdly, we do as much as we can to remove anti-social play, for example by not rewarding players with experience points for camping vehicles that spawn at the base, to spawning in players with invulnerability at spawn points. Our internal Production Testing Team (made up predominantly of high level pro and amateur clan players) has been key to us removing as many of these anti-social pursuits as we can.

Interesting approach to stopping spawn camping.

In theory... yes.

A simple test would be to benchmark the game with both cores enabled, then disable one (through the bios) and benchmark again to see what difference it makes.

I'll be up for a change I think. I will buy a boxed version straight off this time though.

Jeff

Lucky for you then it only seems to come as a boxed version :)

If you pre-order it, they will email you a key that you can use to pre-create your account for when you get the actual game.

Wish my wife would let me buy a widescreen monitor. Looks like i'll be at a disadvantage. I'll probably give it a go.
