Would it be fair to give away all our secrets? :)

There's a couple of sources, I thought I had them posted in our BF2142 section, but maybe they are in our clan section... I'll track em down for you.

Also, just look through your BF2142 directory at the various resource files. All the models have images in there somewhere that you can extract as well.

I couldnt find any pics, when u say extract do u mean like extract a zip file?
or extract a picture from within the models?

I found the post in your forums with the link to the bf2142 images.

thanks

Try looking in the client.zip files in "Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Objects". If you have 3dMax or something I think you can even take all the bits and work the model, meshes, and textures yourself.

Just looking through the BF2142 directory reveals all sorts of interesting bits and pieces.

cool thanks mort, dont have 3d max but Im going to d/l it today.

I'm still having trouble, when i convert the images to gif
it still has a choppy white line around the edge and the gif
loses allot of texture.

I'm using fireworks and I've tried photoshop,
the img is fine if i save as png.

is there something i can do to make the gif look better?

cheers.

I pretty much exclusively use Photoshop, and write actions for processing folders of files.
The trick with gifs is to use antialiased masks when reducing the colours and dimensions.

I'll have a look at my actions when I have a moment and enumerate the steps involved. You have to make sure you reduce the dimensions while still in RGB, then switch to indexed transparent when you reduce the colour space.
