Hey can anyone tell me if u can test an ASP project locally?

I have MS visual studios 2005 but i'm yet to delve into the world of
ASP, right now i only use studio for .net and a little C++. So anyway
I Open a couple of the ASP pages and took a look through the code
and and never expected it to be so much like the Visual basic syntax
witch is a good thing for me :D because i could easily read the code
even tho i have never done any asp coding in my life.

I would be interested in learning the basics so if anyone can point me
in the direction of a method used for local ASP testing I would appreciate it.

I'm guessing i have to install windows server??

You can install IIS on Windows XP or Vista, so you don't need to have a Windows Server. Just look in your Setup for Windows Components.

If you want to test using a Microsoft SQL DB, you can also use the free SQL Express version which should work fine as well.
