Secret Strategy strikes again

Postby KRaM » Mon Sep 25, 2006 8:53 am

Yes I have struck Scott down again by using my notorious sercret strategy of "Playing More Than The Other Guy (TM)". This combined with my other brilliant tactic of "Playing on Blue Bus Servers (TM)" will make me an unstoppable force.

On another note my god Rob, did you stop for a toilet break, food, water etc during your 7 hour epic yesterday?

Yes, that and the "I won't be playing much coz I'll be busy at work" also lulled me into a false sense of security :)

I figured I'd have enough time time to get my "low scoring" badges first, but I guess I misjudged your epic combat skills.

I was on PAus SF briefly with hotfoot - the class traitor swapped to the other side on me! So I killed him. And Commander Sully. Again and again, we traded kills of each other.
We all had quite a laugh, especially Sully and myself, as we seemed to spend most of the game hunting each other down. See a car with three guys heading towards your tank? Blow them all up!
Sully nearly had me - he drove up in his car, leapt out just as I leapt out of my burning tank, I raced to the tank, just as Sully jumped in - only he jumped into the car again because of the dodgy proximity detection, and I blew it up point blank! :)

Was 2 kills away from Armour Specialist, 95 tickets to go when Tash comes in and tells me to go and bathe Tara. :( Only ended up with a bronze star in the end, due to my enforced absence for the last 10 minutes of the round, and I was still only 10 points away from silver.

I'll be back... Wednesday, maybe Tuesday

I played against Rob on Blue Bus gator last week and we killed each other at least 5 times each. It was good fun, he knew I was trying to take the viewing deck back and I knew he was trying to stop me. My favourite kill of him was when he tried to kill me with AT down a stair case. He missed and I dropped prone onto the stair case. He couldn't see anymore so he stuck his head out to see me and I introduced him to my PKM. He met it two more times before he killed me trying to cap the deck and dodge the chopper fire.

I think it was misterhotfoot with the 7+ hour epic

I have played a couple of 2 to 3 hour sessions to catch Delta 635 up ..

I always seem to be coming last on the score chart , i catch someone up then they stop playing

Welcome back celticfist,fantom_2 and Gen_MrHankey

Misterhotfoot has(had) clocked up 24 hours of play this week.

Fantom_2 has been going it solo on the odd nights, but he has also had his parents visiting recently so might explain why he hasn't been around much.

Celticfist... no idea what his excuse is. Last I heard he was staying at home so he should have plenty of time to catch up. I haven't seen him online or accruing any points for quite a while now though.

And Gen_MrHankey had a small play while his "sig other" was out, but most of his "extraordinary" effort was actually the work of a friend who was visiting at the time :)

Long weekend coming up, so probably too late to arrange a "physical" BB, but perhaps an online gathering might be possible?

I will be resuming "normal life mode" soon as the partner is back in town this weekend. The time spent on BF2 is ....embarrassing. Like an admission to the world that I have nothing better to do...? ....... I guess I could be addicted to worse.... or be down the pub every night. I occasionally argue that at least whilst playing, someone knows where and how to find me!

I've been enjoying running around with a few of you the last couple of weeks.
Teamspeak should be compulsory! It's great seeing so many [BB]s in a squad or team.

It would appear I have managed to retain my lead by a slim margin through the use of a loophole I found in the law covering Keiths trademark... "Playing Better Than The Other Guy (TM)" :)

While I'm sure Keith would be more than interested in any offers to license his product, I feel that my own will in fact see much greater popularity :D

While Piers has opened out his lead yet on me yet again, I now have a new secret strategy of my own...

Didnt score that highly last night - 2 round on Iron Gator getting my veteran repair badge didnt help.

Playing on those Internode SF day only servers again is scarey, all the old names are still there (red commodores, nakevilgranded, sortinghat etc) and if you dont play as a squad you have no hope whatsoever.

it is just an unbelievably specialised server, about 20% of the players seem to play to that server exclusively and thats it - and they play it constantly. Everytime I log on the same names are there, hence the noticeably higher standards of play. You would think they would get bored?

just bought it online. Not that I'll have much time for it in the next few months.
