Duke Nukem Forever - may be real?

Postby Mort » Fri Feb 15, 2008 5:34 pm

For those that haven't been in PC gaming forever, Duke Nukem Forever is probably one of those games you hear people refer to when they talk about something that is constantly promised but never arrives.

Considering it's been 11 years in the making it should be the most bloody amazing game ever!

Well, there's a new trailer released for it (Dec 2007), so maybe it will be here one day after all.

Graphics look terrible, reminds me of Half Life 1 ( and I am not talking about "Episode 1").

I had Duke nukem on my 286 together with commander keen and captain comic way back in the day.

I still think Duke Nukem 3D had the best ending to a game (spoiler alert) where after killing a monster, he rips off the monster's head and shits down its neck. Best ending to a game ever... They should make a movie about it.

That review is AWESOME! I hadn't realised it was going to be that good after all...definately worth waiting another 5 years for to get the polish just right!

Wired article "Fail duke nukem"

Broussard soon began pushing for even more and cooler game-building tools: He ripped out the ceiling of a room at the 3D Realms office to assemble a motion-capture lab, which would help his team in rendering “complex motions like strippers,” he noted on the 3D Realms Web site.
